Compliance with Department of Transportation Hazardous Material Safety regulations is serious business. Our Southeast, US based client had a number of employees who needed to be trained or recertified on short notice to avoid non-compliance. No qualified instructors were locally available.
Case Studies: Certification
Early in 2003, complex technical issues grounded military planes at an Air Force Base. Airplane service personnel needed to be certified to be able to perform the required repairs needed to get the planes flying. A technical certification course was not available.

Federated Department Stores
Federated engaged Intrepid to develop an enterprise learning technology strategy for the organization. Intrepid consultants interviewed business, training, and technology leaders at multiple levels across all FDS divisions, conducted store visits, and analyzed the current-state use learning technologies, as well as technical infrastructure within the company. After careful analysis, Intrepid consultants recommended a detailed strategy for Federated focusing on top priorities to meet critical training needs of its primary audiences through high-impact learning technology investments.
State of Washington
The Washington State Department of Personnel was tasked with building an e-learning strategy, choosing appropriate vendor partners and managing the integration and introduction of this new service for State employees. The Department was operating on a tight budget, had strict technical interoperability requirements, and was moving on from an unsatisfactory experience in its first effort to identify the right platform for delivering and managing e-learning courses. In this context, Washington State turned to Intrepid for its independent counsel in selecting the right set of products and vendors to best meet the State’s needs.
